With the material hub initiative "MaterialNeutral – Resource Sovereignty through Material Innovations", the BMFTR is bundling research and development projects, transfer and networking projects in one funding instrument.
The BMFTR is funding joint research projects in its framework programme: From Material to Innovation. With this framework programme, the BMFTR aims to make a contribution to securing and expanding technological expertise in materials research and development. Technology transfer is intended to enable a faster implementation of research results in commercial products.
